Say it ain’t so!

Well, it’s actually not a bad thing that Jonah Hill wants to do more drama considering how fantastic he was alongside Brad Pitt in Moneyball, but we hope he doesn’t abandon the genre completely.

The Superbad star is taking his Oscar nomination as a sign that the people want him to play more serious roles, telling sources:

“I came out in comedies when I was first introduced to people, and very few people, like Tom Hanks and Robin Williams, have been able to transition. To have this kind of recognition -– it means I should do more dramas. I don’t know if there could be a bigger sign.”

“I’m making that the focus of my next couple of years,” he shared the morning after the nominations were announced. Despite his massive success in comedies, he’s actually a bit tired of doing them, continuing:

“As I mature, my sensibilities have changed. I think once you get to a certain place, your career is all about delegating time and what you want to spend your time doing. I’ve made a lot of comedies in a really short amount of time, and they’ve been ripped off every which way to Sunday. So it’s not as exciting to do those anymore.”

Jonah was “thrilled” to be offered a role in Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, but due to scheduling issues, he couldn’t join the cast.

That would have been a phenomenal follow-up to his Moneyball performance, but it sounds like he’s got PLENTY of drama for us in the works. For those who love his sense of humor, it’s on full display in the remake of 21 Jump Street!

We can’t wait to see what this guy does next!

NBC wasnts more baby drama but now on Thursday nights!

The network has ordered two more episodes of Up All Night, bringing the episode total to 24.

The comedy starring Will Arnett, Christina Applegate, and Maya Rudolph was given a early full season pickup and it will receive a better time slot, switching with Whitney.

Normally, moves like these are reserved for top performers like The Office.

NBC must be confident in the freshman comedy and its future success.
