Celeb death hoaxes are fun… until a Kardashian gets hurt!

Last night tweeters around the world mad #Cher a trending topic, after one user tweeted a fake CNN story claiming the the 65-year-old singer passed away.

Less than an hour after the original “RIP Cher” was posted, Kim Kardashian was freaking out.

The reality star has over 12 million flowers, so when she asked:

“Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG.”

Over 12 million people started asking the same thing. The affect wasn’t quite the same as Orson WellesWar of the Worlds radio show, HOWEVER people did lose their shit thinking Cher gone.

Kim “investigatory journalist” Kardshian did some digging and discovered elaborate joke. She told her millions:

“Can’t believe people would make up a sick joke like Cher died. These people need to get a life! Thanks Twitter for clearing that up!”

There you have it!

Cher is alive, despite the fact that she hasn’t posted on Twitter since last week.

It’s been two year since we lost Brittany Murphy, but still, she is never far from the minds of those who loved her most. Her father, Angelo Bertolotti, especially hasn’t forgotten who quickly and how strangely his daughter was taken from this world, which is why he has decided to do a little investigation of his own.

Angelo has decided to sure the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office over access to his late daughter’s hair samples. In court documents, it was revealed that Brittany’s father intends to reopen the case of her death and conduct his own testing, testing that will prove her demise wasn’t attributed to pneumonia and anemia. The docs further stated:

“Plaintiff repeatedly voiced his concerns about these findings as being incorrect, since the testing/toxicology was incomplete and the death of Brittany Anne Murphy Monjak was never fully investigated.”

Never fully investigated? That doesn’t sound right? Why would they hold back any information? If the tables were turned, we’d understand, but not like this. This doesn’t make any sense.

But even still, we just hope Angelo is doing this for the right reasons. Losing a child is a horrific experience, but at some point, he’s going to need to find some closure. Maybe this investigation will be just that.

We’ve gotta admit, we’re a little bit surprised to hear this.

To recap, yesterday the Los Angels County Sheriff’s Department announced that they are reopening Natalie Wood’s 1981 death case.

As we said before, Natalie drowned while boating off Santa Catalina Island, and it was deemed an accident at the time.

Today, the captain of the boat came forward and claimed that Natalie’s then-husband Robert Wagner is responsible for her death…and Natalie’s sister Lana said she believed it!

NOW, the El Lay Sheriff’s Department has released a statement saying that Robert Wagner isn’t being considered a suspect in the case, and that they still believe her death was a result of an accidental drowning.

While we certainly would prefer that Natalie Wood’s death wasn’t a result of foul play, we’re not 100% sure why this case was reopened if Wagner isn’t a suspect and police still think her death was an accident.

Very strange…

Somebody’s ouija board deserves a raise. In this scene from the pilot of Matthew Perry’s short-lived 1987 sitcom Second Chance, Moammar Gadhafi is seen dying and meeting St. Peter … in 2011. ( BuzzFeed picked up on it.) OK, so the show predicted he’d bite the big one on July…
