Sofia Richie is seeing bling.
The 23-year-old model announced on Wednesday that she is engaged to Elliot Grainge after one year of dating.
“Forever isn’t long enough @elliot,” Richie captioned a photo of Grainge down on one knee at the Four Seasons Hualalai.
Grainge, 28, popped the question with a huge emerald-cut diamond ring with a dainty gold band.
Jenny Luker, president of Platinum Guild International USA, tells Page Six Style her “modern yet still classic” sparkler looks to be about 6 carats, estimating its value at $300,000.
Kathryn Money, SVP of Merchandising and Retail Expansion at Brilliant Earth, and Shannon Delany-Ron, CMO of James Allen, both say the stone likely clocks in at closer to 4 or 5 carats, putting its value at between $100,000 and $150,000.
However, Apeksha Kothari, COO of Rare Carat, tells us that the diamond could be as large as 8 carats, with a value of up to $400,000.
Regardless of size, the elongated shape is much beloved by Hollywood stars, including Beyoncé, Amal Clooney, Reese Witherspoon and Karlie Kloss.
Even newly married Nicola Peltz — who commented her well wishes on Richie’s post — has a similar sparkler, although she may have upgraded her rock post-wedding.
