After years of waiting, Atlanta is finally returning for its third season. At long last, the world of prestige TV feels a little more complete.

When Atlanta first premiered on FX in fall of 2016, it was almost immediately clear that this comedy was something special. Donald and Stephen Glover’s series skillfully blended slapstick comedy, dream logic, and abject horror to capture their take on the Black experience. Years later, it still stands as one of the most interesting, profound, and experimental shows on TV. Wondering when you can expect new episodes? Here’s when Atlanta Season 3 will premiere.

How Many Episodes Are in Atlanta Season 3?

Originally, it was stated that there would be eight episodes in both Season 3 and Season 4, this comedy’s final installment. But in January of 2020 it was announced that Season 3 was expanded to 10 episodes. Thank god. More Atlanta is always a good thing.

When Do New Episodes of Atlanta Premiere?

New episodes of Atlanta Season 3 will premiere on FX Thursdays at 10/9c p.m. In its first week, the comedy will debut two episodes before moving to a weekly release schedule. After new episodes premiere on FX, they will comes to Hulu on Fridays.

Looking for a clearer breakdown of the schedule? We have your back. Assuming there won’t be any delays or off weeks, here’s when you can expect new episodes of Atlanta to premiere on FX:

  • Episode 1, “Three Slaps”: Thursday, March 24
  • Episode 2, “Sinterklaas Is Coming to Town”: Thursday, March 24
  • Episode 3, “The Old Man and the Tree”: Thursday, March 31
  • Episode 4, “The Big Payback”: Thursday, April 7
  • Episode 5, “Cancer Attack”: Thursday, April 14
  • Episode 6, “White Fashion”: Thursday, April 21
  • Episode 7, “Trini 2 De Bone”: Thursday, April 28
  • Episode 8: Thursday, May 5
  • Episode 9: Thursday, May 12
  • Episode 10: Thursday, May 19

How to Watch Atlanta on FX and Hulu

If you want to watch this award-winning show live, then you’re going to either need a cable subscription or a live TV skinny bundle. Any of those options come with FX. If you have cable, make sure your TV is set to FX before Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, and you’re good. You can even use your cable username and password to watch new episodes live from anywhere.

But what about those live TV skinny bundles? Sling TV, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV all come with FX, so you can watch Atlanta Season 3 on any of those.

This season will also be the first that you can stream on Hulu. That means if you’re a complete cord cutter, you’re still covered. There are currently four Hulu plans. The most basic ad-supported option will cost you $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year. Want an ad-free option? That will cost you $12.99 a month. If you prefer a live TV experience, ad-supported Hulu  + Live TV costs $69.99 a month, and the ad-free option costs $75.99 a month.

Who Is in the Cast of Atlanta?

The FX comedy revolves around Earn (Donald Glover), a struggling Princeton dropout who becomes his cousin’s music manager. You know Glover from his work on Community, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and by his stage name, Childish Gambino.

Brian Tyree Henry (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, If Beale Street Could Talk) portrays Earn’s cousin Alfred “Paper Boi”, an up-and-coming rapper who often struggles with his newfound fame. Rounding out the cast is LaKeith Stanfield’s dreamy Darius, who serves as Alfred’s righthand man, and Zazie Beetz’s Van, Earn’s on-again, off-again girlfriend who gives this group some stability. Stanfield is best known for his work in Dope, Get Out, Sorry to Bother You, and Judas and the Black Messiah. And you know Beetz from her work in Deadpool 2, Joker, and Amazon’s Invincible.

Is There a Trailer for Atlanta Season 3?

You know there is. Check it out here, and drift into a version of Europe you’ve never seen before.
