The scene that sticks out the most to actor Claire Holt is one she’s been thinking about ever since her recent trip to Chicago, Illinois. “Because it was so cold,” she told The List.
A few years ago, the cast of “The Originals” was spending the day shooting at a famous asylum in Milledgeville, Georgia. Yet, the location wasn’t the scariest part. “It was 12 degrees outside,” Holt described. “And I was not dressed for 12 degrees, because I think that the time we were shooting for was, like, fall or something.”
Yet, like any other professional actor, she was determined to make the best of it — until the scene that day called for her to lie down on the cold, hard ground. “I’d just been staked,” she explained. “And just trying not to move, because I was supposed to be dead.”
While she did her best to lie still, the cameras captured something else entirely. “They were like, ‘Claire, we can see you shivering,'” she laughed. “I’m like, ‘I don’t know what to do, guys. I’m so sorry. It’s freezing.'”
In that moment, she definitely needed one of Rebekah Mikaelson’s fabulous coats.
