Discord servers are currently down, leaving gamers unable to message and chat with friends online.
The Discord server status makes grim reading for fans, who have complained about not being able to access the popular messaging service.
Independent website Down Detector has received thousands of reports that Discord isn’t working.
The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.
The Down Detector outage map shows that the Discord issues are mainly affecting users in the US, although there are also reports flooding in from UK and Europe.
“This chart shows a view of problem reports submitted in the past 24 hours compared to the typical volume of reports by time of day,” Down Detector explains.
“It is common for some problems to be reported throughout the day. Down Detector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.”

While some people are able to see the funny side, most users are urging Discord to fix the problem fast. Check out some example tweets below….
“Welp, looks like #Discord is breaking again. Please fix your stuff. I’m so tired of it going down almost every week. Thank you.”
“Down for everyone yep yep it works fine on some servers but doesn’t on others.”

Fortunately, it looks like Discord is aware of the problem, and is currently working on a fix.
Replying to a user on Twitter, a Discord spokesperson said: “Sorry for any inconvenience! Just wanted to let you know that our team is currently investigating the situation. You can stay updated through our status page here.”
Indeed, the status page suggests that things are slowly getting back to normal.
It appears as though the main issue was with the messaging service, leaving users unable to send and receive messages.
