The Big Mouth team is back with a new show, and this time they’re diving into problems you’ve literally never thought about before. Human Resources follows the Shame Wizards and Hormone Monsters of this world as they complain about work, have flings, and struggle with clients. You’ve seen the human side of this world. Now it’s time for the monsters to shine.
Even though Human Resources isn’t exactly like Big Mouth, this world wouldn’t feel complete without one of its most memorable voices: John Mulaney. Wondering if the comedian is in this new spinoff? Here’s what you need to know.
Is John Mulaney in Human Resources?
He sure is. Though he’s not a major character, there is a John Mulaney cameo in this Big Mouth spinoff.
Who Does John Mulaney Play in Human Resources?
Mulaney is back as Big Mouth’s Andrew Glouberman. Episode 6, “The Addiction Angel”, starts with a problem in the hormone department. With their orgasm numbers down, the entire department has to participate in a corporately mandated wager. The Hormone Monster who ends the month with the most orgasms wins a trip to Anal Island. As for the losers, they’ll be fired.
Almost immediately Joe and Gil, two bumbling Hormone Monsters, panic. Their clients are older and aren’t exactly sex fiends. That’s how they come up with a plan to steal one of Maury’s (Nick Kroll) biggest clients: Andrew.
At first it’s a match made in heaven. Joe and Gil get on the board of the Cream-a-Thon, and Andrew loves the new attention. But their honeymoon doesn’t last long. Once they realize just how horny and depraved Andrew really is, an overwhelmed Joe bails. It isn’t long before Gil follows his best friend. By the end of the episode, everything is back to normal. Maury is once again Andrew’s deranged Hormone Monster and Andrew is still a masturbation-obsessed mess. Everything is as it should be for Big Mouth Season 6.
