Kathie Lee Gifford’s got Hoda Kotb’s back!
Shortly after learning the news that Kotb had split from Joel Schiffman, Kotb’s former colleague and forever friend, Kathie Lee Gifford, also penned a few words of encouragement for her long-time pal on Instagram. “My darling Hoda, I am truly so proud of the way you have handled a very difficult and painful decision,” she began. “As usual you did it with grace and kindness. May God bless you and your precious girls and Joel as well as you continue down this thing called life. I love you.”
As you may recall, Gifford and Kotb go way back, anchoring the “Today” show together from 2008 until 2019. “God brought Hoda into my life for all kinds of different reasons,” Gifford once famously said about the pair’s special bond during an interview with “Today.” “I was supposed to learn from her. She was supposed to learn from me. We were supposed to share life together,” she continued. While it appears, Kotb’s relationship with Schiffman was only intended to be for a season, there’s no doubt that her friendship with Gifford is meant to last a lifetime!
