What’s better than a high school reunion? Reuniting on the SAG Awards stage.
Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow gave a joyful nod to their famous roles in “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” at the 2022 SAG Awards, and even brought out a Post-It to prove it.
Stepping out to “Time After Time” in a perfect tribute to the movie, the pair brought back all the pink and blue vibes from their hit 1997 comedy, each sporting their signature colors.
Kudrow wore a bubblegum pink Dolce & Gabbana suit, while Sorvino wore a light blue look complete with a sparkly silver disco-ball top underneath.
“Do you think this is the cutest anyone has ever looked at an awards show?” the “Friends” star asked, with Sorvino responding in true Romy fashion: “Oh, totally.”
The stars, who were presenting the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award, kept the jokes coming while commenting on the category.
“I just realized this: We’re wearing great ensembles while at the same time presenting to great ensembles,” Sorvino said.
Fans were loving the Romeo and Michele comeback, with many taking to Twitter to share their glee.
“I CAN’T EVEN COPE!!!! Matching colours and post-its!!!! My heart!!! Thank you for this reunion,” one tweet read, while another said, “So the Mira Sorvino/Lisa Kudrow pairing means a sequel is happening – right?!?!?”
