Netflix dropped some big news about Never Have I Ever today. It was announced that production on the show’s third season has wrapped and will premiere this summer, but that’s not all. The streamer also announced today that the series is being renewed for a fourth and final season, which will premiere in 2023.
Show co-creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher confirmed the news, writing, “Hey Crickets, we’ve got some morning announcements for you: Season 3 of Never Have I Ever is gonna drop this summer! Plus we’ve just been renewed for a fourth and final season, which we are absolutely thrilled about. We can’t wait to reveal all the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you. Thanks to all our fans for your support – especially you #Bevi and #Daxton stans. We love you!”
Never Have I Ever, which was loosely based on Kaling’s life growing up as a first-generation Indian American, stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, a teenager whose father dies, making the suckiest years of high school even worse. Season three’s returning cast includes Poorna Jagannathan as Devi’s mother Nalini, Richa Moorjani as cousin Kamala, Jaren Lewison as Ben, Darren Barnet as Paxton, as well as Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young as Devi’s friends Fabiola and Eleanor. Tennis player John McEnroe is also set to return as the show’s narrator.
Throughout the series, we’ve seen Devi deal with everything from psychosomatic paralysis to being caught in an unexpected love triangle. I’ve been waiting this long to see if Devi will choose Paxton or Ben, so all I’m saying is that seasons and three and four better provide answers!
