Disney+ is welcoming in the new year with plenty of new shows, movies, and content for the whole family this February. The kid-friendly streamer has plenty of new entertainment ready to binge as you plan your household resolution, from the release of new films like Sneakerella and Free Guy to the new revival series The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder. If it’s too cold outside, don’t waste time bundling up to go to the theater! Just settle in with some of Disney+’s piping hot new content.
Keeping up with its popular revival series, Disney+ is treating us to more new episodes of The Proud Family with The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder. The reboot will focus on Penny Proud (Kyla Proud) as she grows up into her teenage years, attempting to gain more independence from her family as she faces the typical junior high experience. The series also stars Paula Jai Parker, Cedric the Entertainer, and Tommy Davidson.
Also in February, the streamer will release more family-friendly content with new movie Sneakerella. Get it? Just like Cinderella? Instead of pining after a prince, Sneakerella will feature a basketball star and a little sneaker tycoon. The young businessman must pursue of dreams of becoming a sneaker designer if he wants to win over the woman of his dreams! Stream Sneakerella on Feb. 18.
To round out the month, Disney+ will host Ryan Reynolds’ latest action comedy Free Guy. The lighthearted video game romp follows a bank teller who discovers he’s a mere background character in a larger open-world, and fights to put himself at the front of the story. Free Guy will hit Disney+ (and HBO Max, too!) on Feb. 23.
