‘Rick and Morty’ Season 5 Is Coming Hulu This February

Finally, you’ll be able to parse through the multiverse’s biggest questions. Hulu has announced that Rick and Morty Season 5 will be coming to its platform on Saturday, February 5. It’s still unknown if this latest season will go to HBO Max on the same day, but we have our fingers crossed.

It’s always exciting to know when a complete collection of a beloved show is on streaming, but in Rick and Morty’s case, this news isn’t world-changing. That’s because Adult Swim has always done a good job of making sure Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s vulgar baby is streaming somewhere. At the moment, the first five episodes of Season 5 are on Adult Swim’s site under cable login lock and key; but the final five? You can watch them anytime. That’s just how Adult Swim rolls.

This network generosity aside, it will be great to finally be able to binge watch the entire series on one platform. Most seasons of Rick and Morty maintain the same balance of classic adventures and wild, in-show lore. That’s not the path Season 5 took. After seven episodes of fun adventures, the last three installments were wall-to-wall introspective, deep cut world-building. We’re talking a Charlie Kaufman-inspired submersion into Rick’s (Roiland) relationship with his best friend Birdperson (Harmon), Rick using his relationship with two crows to examine the toxicity between him and his grandson, and a finale that made even the most dedicated fan gasp. Want to know what Evil Morty has been up to since 2013? That’s in there. And soon, you can watch every one of his appearances without paying a penny more than what you typically pay for streaming.

And while you watch, be sure to obsess with us. Decider has your guide to Season 5’s headache of an ending as well as all the questions we need Season 6 to answer. This February, prepare to watch the only show on interdimensional cable that matters.
