Rita Moreno, 90, isn’t done taking risks on the red carpet.
The EGOT-winner wore a fun feathered cap on the Oscars 2022 red carpet on Sunday, and said she decided to have some fun when when choosing her musical-worthy accessories.
She described her thought process about the hat, saying, “This is from France and I just thought ‘What the hell?’ and then I put in a black wig underneath, because, ‘What the hell, right?’”
“This is a Carolina Herrera,” she told E!, referencing her black ruffled one-shoulder gown, which she paired with crystal black flats and Verdura earrings.
The iconic actress ended her commentary by declaring, “I just love the way I look. Kill me, sue me!” and explained “I just love the way I look.”
But there’s no need to sue Moreno who is currently working on a movie with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Sally Field called “’80s for Brady,” a comedy based on Tom Brady’s life.

The “West Side Story” star won an Academy Award for her performance in the movie in 1961 and Ariana DeBose, who starred in the role as Anita in the Steven Spielberg 2021 adaptation, took home the award for Best Supporting Actress tonight.
All three posed on the red carpet together, with DuBose paying homage to her character’s red slip with a fiery pantsuit.
Perhaps next year the 31 year old will add some feathers to her own cap in homage.
