Naya Rivera and Big Sean’s messy breakup became even more high profile once Rivera got married to Ryan Dorsey, just three months after her engagement with Big Sean was called off (via The Mirror) . According to US Weekly, Rivera and Dorsey tied the knot on the same day she was previously due to marry Big Sean.
When the news of Rivera’s boating accident surfaced in 2020, Sean broke his silence on the matter and showed support for his ex. He was also very heartfelt in his tribute to her, per PopSugar. However, not all of his actions have been seen positively. Once Sean stated that his 2014 hit “I Don’t F–k With You” wasn’t about Rivera, her fans sprang to action, via Capital Xtra .
They pointed out that Rivera had called him out in her memoir “Sorry Not Sorry.” In the book, Rivera spoke about only seeing Sean once after their break up, and they talked things out. She stated that he played “IDFWU” for her and she begged him to not write any songs about her.
However she felt about the song at first, Rivera was able to poke fun at it before she passed on. The actress actually used it in a Lip Sync Battle performance, per Billboard.
