Given her past romantic entanglements, Larsa Pippen is dating outside the athletic world. With her divorce from Scottie Pippen freshly finalized last month, the “Real Housewives of Miami” star told Us Weekly on January 12 that she is “trying to avoid athletes.” Despite following up her 20-year-plus marriage to NBA legend Scottie Pippen with a much-publicized fling with Malik Beasley, Larsa insisted she never sought this genre of male partners out.
“It’s not like I go look for it,” Larsa told the outlet. “It’s almost like a nurse and a doctor — if you’re a nurse and you’ve worked in a hospital, you’re more likely to like have friends that are doctors. So, I feel like I’ve been in the basketball world for so long that I feel like I’m just surrounded by that world.”
Still, Larsa added that she does, “kind of,” regret her romance with Beasley. “I don’t wanna give too much life to my past relationship,” she explained. “I just think you learn from all your mistakes. You grow every day, and I just feel like I’m in a better place today than I was yesterday.”
Compounding her new attitude in life was her January 20 Instagram bikini shot, one which she captioned, “Become the energy you want to attract.” In this case, it’s clear Larsa doesn’t want to attract anymore athletes.
