The afterparty doesn’t have to end this Friday. At least not The Afterparty, the all-star comedy murder-mystery bash that’s been happening this winter on Apple TV+.
Apple TV+ announced a second season for Tiffany Haddish’s Detective Danner, just before she hopefully solves her first case in the season-one finale, which debuts globally on Friday (March 4).
This first eight episodes from creator Christopher Miller centered Haddish’s detective on a whodunit within a high-school reunion, with each episode retelling the purported events of the night through the perspective of a different character at the reunion. And those characters are CHARACTERS, including the likes of Ike Barinholtz, Zoë Chao, Jamie Demetriou, Dave Franco, and Ilana Glazer. Plus prime comedy suspects Sam Richardson and Ben Schwartz, whom together are joy personified. Even if one of these funny people likely is also a killer!
Last we left Detective Danner, she was looking into her past to discover why solving this case means even more to her than she thought. Where will Season 2 find her? With a new cast of characters, and a new mystery to solve.
